So yeah! It was my first day at space150 today… it was exciting.
Had the typical “These are your benefits” discussions… but fortunately I got to look at some code for my first project.
Plus… they got me a MacBook Pro. It’s nice! But it’s frustrating going to the Mac platform… haven’t been on one since highschool.
Lunch was good… everything was excellent! I really think my time there is going to ROCK! With a rockstar CEO and staff… there is plenty of room for me to improve and learn!
Plus I get to do full time Ruby on Rails
OH NO! Not a Mac! What are you ever going to do?
:: snorts :: A Mac. Heh.
Way to go getting the MacBook dude!
OS X is a stable, fast, elegant, solid platform.
I’ve been using it on and off for like six months, and have yet to receive a BSOD! Haha
From Windows/.Net to OSX/Ruby you’ve made a fellow Mac user proud :)
Mike L.,
I’ve been using Windows for years and I can’t for the life of me remember when I got a BSOD. Honestly, BSODs have (for me at least) become a thing of the past.
Making the switch sounds extreme – one day your the .NET / Win guy and now your doing Rails on a Mac – Lovin it
Your CEO is a rock star? What band does s/he play in?
@Tom: It’s fun so far…
@Aaron: Yeah I know… a mac
@Mike: Yeah, so far I’ve had it reboot itself only once..
@Matt: It’s quite the switch… and it’s causing me headaches
@Jason: BSOD… you mean, Blatantly Silly Osterich Democracy?
@Toran: EXTREME! :: slams a dew ::
@Jason: Yeah… the band is called space150… a rockstar who sings in the monday morning slappy meetings!
