“Jake… Do you believe in God?”
“No.”
“So you’re an atheist?”
“I’m a Bright.”
“What the hell is a Bright? Sounds kind of condecending to me…”
“A Bright is an individual who has a naturalistic world view, free of supernatural and mystical entities…”
“So you’re an atheist?”
“Yes. I just choose to use Bright as my label because of the negative implications that surround the word atheist.”
